CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston Women's Basketball is set to conclude the regular season with a matchup against Drexel on Saturday, March 7 at 1 p.m. Seeding for the 2020 CAA Women's Basketball Championship presented by Sonabank will be sent out by the conference after the conclusion of all games played.
Last Outing
The College fell to Delaware on the road to split the regular season series by a score of 54-63. Sophomore Tyler Collins logged a team-high 12 points while grabbing four rebounds, dishing out four assists and logged three steals. Senior Deja Ford chipped in 10 points and six boards as well. The game went back and forth in the first half as there were eight lead changes and three ties. The Cougars scored 20 points in the first quarter, taking a six-point lead into the second but lost that lead as Delaware tied the game at 28-28 with CofC only scoring eight points in the quarter. The scoring slump continued into the third as Charleston was held to only 11 points compared to the 22 it gave up. A late push was made by CofC in the fourth but it ultimately was too late as Delaware held on to win.

Scouting Drexel
Drexel enters the game with an overall record of 22-7 and a 15-2 record in CAA play.
The Dragons currently hold the No. 2 seed in the CAA but can earn the No. 1 seed heading into the tournament if James Madison loses and Drexel gets the victory over CofC. Drexel rides a two-game win streak coming into this game with wins over Towson and UNCW.
Head coach Denise Dillon is in the midst of her 17th season at the helm of the program. She has an overall record of 328-211 throughout her tenure, all at Drexel.
The team is led by Bailey Greenberg who is fourth in the CAA in scoring with 17.3 points per game. In addition, Greenberg leads the team in rebounds with 5.7 per game.
Seeding Scenarios for Charleston
If Elon, Delaware, UNCW and Charleston finish tied for sixth at 7-11, Elon is #6, UNCW is #7, Delaware is #8 and Charleston is #9. Elon holds a 4-2 record against the other three teams in the tiebreaker, giving them the advantage. UNCW and Delaware hold 3-3 records against the other three teams, and UNCW holds the head-to-head tiebreaker over Delaware. Charleston has a 2-4 record against the other three teams, and therefore would be seeded behind them.
If Elon and Charleston finish tied for seventh at 7-11, Elon is #7 and Charleston is #8. Elon swept Charleston in the regular season to hold the tiebreaker.
If Delaware, Charleston and UNCW finish tied for seventh at 7-11, UNCW is #7, Charleston is #8 and Delaware is #9. UNCW went 3-1 against the Delaware and Charleston, Charleston went 2-2 against UNCW and Delaware, and Delaware went 1-3 against UNCW and Charleston.

- Senior Deja Ford became the 28th Cougar in program history to join the 1,000-point club.
- The Cougars started conference play 2-0 for the first time since the 2009-10 season. This also marks the first time The College has gone 2-0 in CAA play since joining the league in 2013.
- Latrice Perkins (13.5), Tyler Collins (11.8) and Deja Ford (10.3) lead the Cougars in scoring per game.
- Sophomore Arynn Eady ranks first in rebounds in the CAA with 9.5 per game.
- Freshman Taylor Williams notched her first career double-double in an OT win over Northeastern at home, logging a career high in points (22) and rebounds (13).
- Sophomore Madison Taylor scored a career-high 20 points against Hofstra at home.
- Eady logged a career-high 18 rebounds twice this season, one in a 67-63 OT win over UNCW on Jan. 26 and the other in a 70-64 loss to William & Mary on Feb. 7, which is tied for fourth most in a single game in program history.
- Senior Deja Ford earned her first CAA Player of the Week honors for the week of 12/30 through 1/5 after scoring 59 points while leading the Cougars to three wins.
- Arynn Eady has five double-doubles on the season while Latrice Perkins has three.
- Perkins and Collins became the first Cougars since 2015 to score at least 29 points in a single game.
- The Cougars forced 33 turnovers against Coker on Nov. 12 which tied the most in a single game since 2010 when CofC took down Wofford.
- Perkins earned Harris Teeter Student-Athlete of the Week honors (Nov. 6-12).
- Eady earned Harris Teeter Student-Athlete of the Week honors twice this season for play through Nov. 13-19 and Jan. 22-28.
- Ford earned Harris Teeter Student-Athlete of the Week honors (Dec. 30-Jan. 5).
- Ford was named a Preseason All-CAA Honorable Mention.
