Charleston Inks Three on National Signing Day

CHARLESTON, S.C. -- The College of Charleston women's basketball team has signed three 2022 student-athletes, head coach Robin Harmony announced on Wednesday. The Cougars inked two guards, Alexis Andrews of Montgomery, Alabama and Jazmyn Stone from Tacoma, Washington, as well as wing Naylee Cortes from Kissimmee, Florida.

Jazmyn Stone - 5'6" Guard - Annie Wright HS - Tacoma, Washington

Played for coach Chris Spivey at Annie Wright HS
In her freshman season at Annie Wright, Stone poured in 527 points on her way to being named First Team All-Nisqually League and Second Team All-Tacoma Area
She was voted as the winner of the Team Impact Player Award and was named MVP of the South Puget Sound All-Star game
Jazmyn sat out her 10th grade season due to injury but her teammates named her the team's most inspirational player
In her junior season, her team only played eight games. Stone averaged 14.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 5.0 steals per game
Was again named to the All-Nisqually League First Team
All-Area honorable mention in 2020-21

Coach Harmony on Stone: "Jazmyn Stone is a lead guard that can both set up her teammates and get her own. She is a lethal long-range shooter and a great point-of-attack defender. She is a gym rat that will fit seamlessly into our culture."

Alexis Andrews - 5'9" - Guard - Park Crossing HS - Montgomery, Alabama

Played for coach Freeah Smith at Park Crossing HS
Through her junior year, Andrews has scored 1,361 points, grabbed 444 rebounds, dished out 321 assists, and racked up 282 steals
Ranked 270th nationally by Dan Olsen
The #5 player in the state of Alabama
Alexis led the Park Crossing Lady Thunderbirds to the shcool's first ever regular season Area Championship and Area Tournament Championship
Named MVP of the North-South All-Star Game
Enters her senior year with a 4.0 grade point average
Played AAU ball for Essence

Coach Harmony on Andrews: "Alexis Andrews is a tenacious on-ball defender perfectly suited for our pressure defense. Offensively, she can create her own shot and can score at all three levels. She is always cool under pressure and never gets rattled."

Naylee Cortes - 5'9" - Wing - Central Pointe Christian Academy - Kissimmee, Florida

Originally from the country of Colombia
Plays for Central Pointe Christian Academy, currently ranked as the no. 5 girl's high school basketball team in the country
Played for the Colombia FIBA national team
A member of the Central Florida Elite club team

Coach Harmony on Cortes: "Naylee Cortes comes to us with a lot of big time FIBA experience playing for her national team. She is a versatile player than can play multiple positions. She can get to the rim whenever she wants and crashes the boards very well for a wing."
