CHARLESTON, S.C. --- The College of Charleston volleyball team will resume its 2020-21 season this weekend after a nearly five-week hiatus when the Cougars welcome William & Mary to TD Arena for back-to-back matches to open Colonial Athletic Association play.
LAST TIME OUT
The Cougars suffered the program's first-ever setback to The Citadel on Sunday, January 31 in a 3-1 defeat. Sophomore transfer Gabi Bailey led the attack with nine kills while senior libero Logan Manusky racked up 22 digs. Junior Amani Dunston and sophomore Tori Carpenter each turned in a double-double.
THE OPPONENT
William & Mary enters the weekend with a 2-0 record both overall and in CAA play after posting a pair of 3-1 wins over Elon last weekend. Kate Dedrick and Julia Brown combined for 79 kills in the back-to-back victories while Kate Van Houten dished out 107 assists. Anna Porter led the defense with 41 digs.

- Bailey and Lexi Wierzbicki lead the Cougars with 16 kills each through two matches.
- Sophomore Emma Falk was named the CAA Defensive Player of the Week after averaging 1.57 kills and 1.86 blocks per set on the season's opening weekend.
- Falk has accounted for 13 of the Cougars' 24 blocks thus far.
- Head Coach Jason Kepner, the Cougars' all-time wins leader, needs four victories to reach the 300-mark for his career.
