HAMPTON, Va. --- College of Charleston volleyball finished a perfect weekend sweep Sunday downing Hampton 3-0 (25-12, 25-11, 25-18), extending their win streak to five to close the regular season.

Lexi Wierzbicki led the Charleston attack with 10 kills as the Cougars hit .330 and held Hampton to just .019 on their attack.

With their two wins this weekend, Charleston will be the No. 4 seed in the 2023 CAA Tournament, hosted by Towson, and will face No. 5 seed Stony Brook in the opening round Thursday, Nov. 16. Charleston and Stony Brook split their regular season series in late September.

Key Cougars

Lexi Wierzbicki led the way with 10 kills, her 11^th time leading the Cougars in kills this season.
Eight Cougars ended the match with multiple kills including Olivia Mae Van Der Werff (5), Hannah Scott (4), Sofie Vogel (2), Bella Sinacori (2), Sopheea Mink (4), Cailyn Bolser (4) and Brynn Whitehair (3).
Tynley Smelter headlined a trio of backline Cougars with 10 digs as Elli Kinney and Chandler Manusky added eight each.
Van Der Werff and Wierzbicki added two service aces each as Charleston finished the weekend with 12 over six sets.

Match Notes

College of Charleston moved to 3-0 in their brief series history with Hampton winning all nine sets played.
Sunday's win gave Charleston their fourth weekend sweep inside CAA play – UNCW, Elon, Hofstra and Hampton.
Charleston ended the regular season 4-0 in the month of November and rides a five-match win streak into the CAA Tournament.
All three setters of Hannah Scott (11), Emma Appleman (9) and Jasmin Goei (9) had nine-plus assists on the day accounting for 29 of the Cougars' 32.
