CHARLESTON, S.C.—College of Charleston women's soccer travels to Conway to play against Coastal Carolina on Sunday evening. Kick-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
 
This is the 12^th meeting between the Cougars and the Chanticleers. Last season when the two sides met, the Cougars won 3-0 at Ralph Lundy Field at Patriots Point.
 
The Cougars have started the season 0-1-1 with a 2-2 draw against the Spartans of USC Upstate in their season opener. In Charleston's last outing against Utah, the Cougars' offense recorded 12 shots to Utah's 14. The difference was the Ute's two goals in a three-minute span to give the visitors the 2-0 advantage. The cougars' goalkeepers Savannah Barron and Bailey Wood combined for a total of six saves.
 
Coastal Carolina has begun the 2023 season 1-1 with a 1-0 win against UNCW in the season opener. In the Chanticleer's most recent match, they fell 3-0 to Charlotte on Thursday. The 49ers tilted the game in their favor with 16 shots, as Chanticleer's goalkeeper Vivienne Carr stopped seven shots.
