ELON, N.C. – College of Charleston women's basketball continues their road trip in North Carolina, facing the Elon Phoenix Sunday afternoon.
Charleston kicked off conference play in Greensboro, defeating North Carolina A&T 63-58. The Cougars outscored the Aggies 18-9 in the second quarter, gaining a lead they did not relinquish.
Jenna Annecchiarico paced the Cougars with 18 points, adding five rebounds and five assists. Annecchiarico has reached double figures in 10 consecutive contests.
Taryn Barbot and
Jada Logan had 13 points apiece, with Logan grabbing seven rebounds and Barbot recording six. Barbot has at least 10 points in five straight games.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
Elon dropped their first CAA matchup against Towson, falling 58-53 at home. The Phoenix currently stands with a 4-10 record.
The Cougars and Elon have both met Gardner-Webb this season, both teams defeating the Bulldogs by double digits. The Phoenix have faced a tough slate during nonconference play, facing two ACC powerhouses, NC State and UNC.
Elon is currently led in scoring by Maraja Pass, averaging 10.8 points per game. Also averaging double digits is Iycez Adams with 10 points per game.
