Jake Brink started today's game after he was schedule to start yesterday. The sophomore dazzled again, giving up just one run in 6.2 innings before being relieved by today's originally scheduled started
Aidan Hunter. Hunter inherited a runner in the seventh but kept the Huskers off the board. Nebraska would get to Hunter in the eighth though, plating a pair of runs from RBI singles by Dylan Carey and Ben Columbus.Â
Alex Lyon came into pitch the ninth after shutting down the Huskers for four innings in during Thursday's contest. Lyon would not be as effective tonight though as Nebraska rallied to take the lead on a Tyler Stone sac-fly.Â
The Cougars got a pinch-hit two-out double by
Tyler Sorrentino in the ninth to have a shot at tying the game but Huskers closer Casey Daiss was able to get
Dylan Johnson to pop out and end the game.Â
