
Five Cougars Earn CAA Postseason Honors

RICHMOND, Va. – Five Cougars from the men's soccer team earned Coastal Athletic Association postseason honors, the conference announced Wednesday afternoon.
Matt Lenert made the All-CAA First Team, Ben Bagshaw and Noah Gold earned All-CAA Second Team acclaim, Ezra White garnered an All-CAA Third Team selection and Dan Toulson made the CAA All-Rookie squad.
Lenert played in all 17 of Charleston's games, making 16 starts and totaling five goals - including two game-winners during his junior season. The Falls Church, Va. native scored the game-winner against then-ranked #15 North Carolina on September 1 and the game-winner against USC Upstate on September 9. The forward's five goals ranked tied for 5th in the CAA in 2025.
During his sophomore season, Bagshaw started 15 games for the Cougars and saw action in all 17 matches as he led Charleston with 12 points on five goals and two assists. The forward from London, England was the CAA Offensive Player of the Week on September 29 after his two-goal performance against William & Mary. Bagshaw finished in the top-10 in the CAA in both goals (T-5th) and points (6th).
Gold made the All-CAA Second Team for the second consecutive year. The senior defender started all 17 games for CofC and posted two assists and one goal – the game winner in Charleston's 1-0 win over then-ranked No. 15 Furman. The Germantown, Md. native led the Cougars with 1,461 minutes. Gold played the full 90 in 13 games as he anchored the defense and helped CofC post five shutouts.
As a senior, White earned his second consecutive postseason honor as he made the All-CAA Second Team last year. This season, White played in all 17 games and made 16 starts. The midfielder from Clemson, S.C. totaled four assists as he helped the Cougars score against South Carolina, Davidson and William & Mary (twice). White logged 1,418 minutes and played the full 90 in 10 contests.
Toulson made the CAA All-Rookie team after a strong debut season. The defender/midfielder from Harrogate, England made 11 starts and played in 13 matches during the 2025 campaign. Toulson played 857 total minutes and took 4 shots with 2 of them being on goal this year.
During the 2025 season, Charleston shutout two top-15 teams, had the No. 1 play on the SportsCenter Top 10 list on October 25 and finished with a record of 6-8-3.
