Pavel Dashin each tallied a goal to help College of Charleston men's soccer to a 2-0 victory against No. 15 North Carolina Monday evening at Patriots Point.

CofC (1-3) have defeated a ranked opponent for the second consecutive season as it hands the Tar Heels (3-1) their first loss of the campaign.

CRITICAL POINTS AGAINST NORTH CAROLINA:
- Charleston controlled the midfield throughout the match, holding UNC to just one shot on target.
- Lenert netted the first goal of the match in the 67th minute off a deflection.
- The Cougar attacked continued off a North Carolina turnover at the midfield.Â
- Sophomore Ben Bagshaw used some nifty footwork around the Tar Heel defender, sending the ball into the box to sophomore Stian Bendvold who dished it to Dashin for the easy tap in at the 72:04 mark.
- Graduate student Jourdan Schumacher earned the clean sheet for CofC, picking up his first career win.

OF NOTE:
- Charleston improves to 3-5-1 all-time against North Carolina.
- Bagshaw assisted on Lenert's tally, giving him points in each four matches.
- CofC earned its second clean sheet over UNC in program history and the first since a 3-0 win on Oct. 4, 1995.
