
Four Cougars Earn CAA Women's Basketball Postseason Honors

RICHMOND, Va. – Four Cougars earned Coastal Athletic Association postseason honors for the 2025-26 season. Charleston won three major awards as Taryn Barbot earned the CAA Player of the Year award for the second year in a row, Grace Ezebilo garnered the Defensive Player of the Year award and Head Coach Robin Harmony was named the CAA Coach of the Year.
Additionally, Taryn Barbot and Taylor Barbot made the All-CAA First Team, while Taryn Barbot and Grace Ezebilo made the All-CAA Defensive Team. Charleston's four honorees are the most of any team in the league.
TARYN BARBOT
After winning five CAA Player of the Week awards and leading the conference in points per game (19.4) and 3-point field goals per game (2.3), Taryn Barbot was named the CAA Player of the Year for the second consecutive season. She also made the All-CAA First Team and the All-CAA Defensive Team for the second straight year. The Floral Park, N.Y. native has scored 564 points this season and is just 20 points away from breaking her own Charleston single-season scoring record of 583 that she set last year.
This season, Barbot's tallied four 30 point outings and reached the 20 point mark in 15 of the Cougars' 29 games. Barbot also made five 3-pointers on two different occasions, tallying eight total triples in CofC's 85-58 home win over Northeastern. The junior has amassed 1,615 career points and is 6th on the Charleston all-time scoring list. This is her second year in a row earning each of the three awards. She was the CAA Rookie of the Year and made the CAA All-Rookie team after the 2023-24 season.
GRACE EZEBILO
Grace Ezebilo tallied eight double-doubles and recorded 22 double digit rebounding games during the 2025-26 season as she earned the CAA Defensive Player of the Year and made the All-CAA Defensive Team. The junior dominated the glass all year and ranks 4th in the country in offensive rebounds per game (4.7), 7th in rebounds per game (11.9) and is also in the top-20 in total rebounds (346). She leads the CAA in four categories: total rebounds, rebounds per game, defensive rebounds per game, and offensive rebounds per game.
Ezebilo has etched her name in the Charleston record books as she's tallied the most rebounds in a single season in Division I program history with a total of 346 boards, shattering the previous record of 302. The Nigeria, Africa native set a Division I program record with her 24 rebound performance at Campbell on February 3, and she's also collected 137 offensive rebounds, which is just 12 offensive boards away from setting another Division I program record. Ezebilo earned the CAA Player of the Week award on February 9 and is just the fourth player in program history to win a conference defensive player of the year honor.
TAYLOR BAROT
After the leading the CAA in assists per game, total assists and assist/turnover ratio, Taylor Barbot made the All-CAA First Team for the first time in her career. The junior recorded just the third triple-double in program history with her 14 point, 10 rebound, 10 assist performance in Charleston's 80-65 win over Charleston Southern on November 7. Nationally, Barbot is in the top-20 in assists per game (5.8) and assist/turnover ratio (2.45). The Floral Park, N.Y. native has tallied seven games with at least eight assists and has recorded double digit assists in two games. Barbot has tallied 335 points, 169 assists and 122 rebounds during the 2025-26 campaign. She was the CAA Player of the Week on December 15. This is her second CAA Postseason honor as she made the All-CAA Third Team last year.
HEAD COACH ROBIN HARMONY
After leading Charleston to it's first conference championship in Division I history, Head Coach Robin Harmony earned the program's first conference coach of the year honor as she garnered the CAA Coach of the Year award. Harmony earned her 11th career 20-win season – and third straight at CofC - as she led Charleston to multiple program firsts in the Cougars' Division I era: First conference championship, best start to a season (6-0), best start to conference play (12-0).
Additionally, Harmony became the winningest head coach in CofC Division I history after collecting her 119th win at N.C. A&T on March 7. This is her first time being named the CAA Coach of the Year and it's her fourth career coach of the year honor – she previously earned the honor in 2018 while at Lamar and twice during her six year stint at St. Thomas.

Charleston will be the No. 1 seed in the 2026 CAA Tournament in Washington, D.C., and will start play on Friday, March 13 against the winner of No. 8 William & Mary and No. 9 N.C.
