
Charleston Opens CAA Play with Home Contest Against Hofstra

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Charleston men's tennis team is set open CAA play with a home match against Hofstra at the Turner Tennis Center on Thursday afternoon. First serve is set for 2 p.m.

SCOUTING HOFSTRA — The Pride are 0-10 on the year and have been swept five times.
MATCHUP HISTORY VS. HOFSTRA — The Cougars are 2-1 all-time against the Pride. Charleston swept Hofstra in 2014 and 2015, but the Pride won the last contest between the schools by a score of 4-2 in the 2023 CAA Tournament.
LAST TIME OUT – The College of Charleston men's tennis team is coming off a 4-3 loss to Presbyterian at the Turner Tennis Center last Wednesday.
AWARDS – Jakub Solarski has earned two Coastal Athletic Association Player of the Week honors. Most recently, Solarski earned the award on March 10 after going 4-0 in singles and earning five total wins for the Cougars during the week. He also garnered the honor on February 17 after winning all three of his matches, including two singles victories in slot No. 2.
UP NEXT – The Cougars will stay in Charleston for a match with Drexel on Tuesday, March 24. The contest against Drexel will also be senior day where the Cougars four seniors will be honored. First serve against the Dragons is set for 2 p.m.
