
Men's Tennis Hosts Three Games in Five Days

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Charleston men's tennis team returns to the Turner Tennis for three games over a span of five days.
MATCH #9 — College of Charleston (5-3) vs. Youngstown State (9-1) | Saturday, March 7 | 11 a.m. | Turner Tennis Center | Charleston, S.C.
MATCH #10 — College of Charleston (5-3) vs. Stonehill (3-5) | Sunday, March 8 | 2 p.m. | Turner Tennis Center | Charleston, S.C.

SCOUTING YOUNGSTOWN STATE — The Penguins are 9-1 on the year and have won eight matches in a row. Youngstown State has earned two sweeps on the season and earned a 4-3 road win at The Citadel on Tuesday. The Penguins will face South Carolina State Friday afternoon before their matchup with the Cougars on Saturday.
MATCHUP HISTORY VS. YOUNGSTOWN STATE — The Cougars won the only contest between the two teams back in 1998.
SCOUTING STONEHILL — The Skyhawks are 3-5 on the year, and have lost their last three contests. Stonehill's last win was a 4-0 sweep against Coppin State back on February 8.
MATCHUP HISTORY VS. STONEHILL — The Cougars are 3-0 all-time against the Skyhawks. Charleston has defeated Stonehill once in each of the past three years.
SCOUTING PRESBYTERIAN — The Blue Hose are 5-3 on the year, and have won three contests in a row. Presbyterian will face off against Davidson and Longwood this weekend before the matchup with Charleston on Wednesday.
MATCHUP HISTORY VS. PRESBYTERIAN — The Cougars are 6-1 all-time against the Blue Hose. Charleston won the last two contests between the schools in 2016 and 2021.
LAST TIME OUT – The College of Charleston men's tennis team is coming off a pair of road wins in Louisiana last week. CofC defeated Nicholls State 5-2 on Monday before earning a 4-3 victory over New Orleans.
AWARDS – Jakub Solarski earned Coastal Athletic Association Co-Player of the Week honors on Feb. 17. The junior from Lodz, Poland won all three of his matches, including two singles victories in slot No. 2.
UP NEXT – The Cougars will stay in Charleston for a CAA match with Hofstra on Thursday, March 19. First serve is set for 2 p.m.
