
Men's Tennis Collects Sixth Consecutive Victory

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston men's tennis team (6-3) earned its sixth straight win with a 5-2 win over Youngstown State (9-3) at the Turner Tennis Center on Saturday afternoon.
Although Jake Smith and Ram Mude won 6-4 on court two in doubles, Youngstown State won the other two courts and took a 1-0 lead heading into singles.
In singles, Jakub Solarski brought the Cougars even with a 6-3, 6-0 sweep on court one, and Juan Diego Rojas Mora put CofC in front 2-1 with his own 6-1, 6-4 sweep in position No. 6.
Dani Farran then got the Cougars their third point with a 6-4, 6-3 two set win on court five. The Penguins continued to fight as they won court four, but Leon Harder clinched the match for Charleston as he grinded out a 6-2, 3-6, 6-4 win on court No. 2.
After the Cougars had clinched the match, Ram Mude earned a 6-2, 3-6, 6-4 victory in slot No. 3 to make the final score 5-2 in favor of the Cougars on Saturday afternoon.
