Allen has been a part of the College's staff since August 2019 as an Academic Advisor in the Athletic Department. She works primarily with baseball, women’s soccer, and men’s and women’s golf.
She earned her undergraduate degree in accounting/finance from Wofford College and graduated with honors in May 2019. While attending Wofford, she worked as a Peer Academic Facilitator/Manager for the basketball team from 2015-2019. In this position, assisted student-athletes academically by constructing schedules, running study halls, and establishing academic goals.
Additionally, Allen works closely with the Charleston Edge, CofC's student-athlete development program, and Cougar Launch, CofC's female student-athlete leadership program. She also oversees the department's academic recognition, semester workshop programming and Student-Athlete 101.
Allen returns to the College after interning in the summer of 2018 in the department of Student Athlete Academic Services. During that time, she worked with men’s and women’s basketball freshmen and and international students on a daily basis. Additionally she assisted with administrative work and helped athletes develop study skills and strategies to keep them on pace with class.
She recently received her Masters of Science in Sports Management with a concentration in Athlete Development from the University of Florida.
In her spare time, Allen enjoys going to the beach and exploring what the Charleston area has to offer with her family and friends.
