Katelyn Harrison

Katelyn Bishop Harrison is in her fifth season with the College of Charleston volleyball program having previously served as head coach Jason Kepner’s second assistant from 2012-13. Harrison was elevated to associate head coach on April 12, 2018. 

In her four seasons with the Cougars, Harrison has helped Coach Kepner lead CofC to an 87-41 overall record and two CAA Championships in 2014 and 2017. Over the last four years, Harrison has mentored four All-CAA First Team selections, a CAA Player of the Year, and a CAA Setter Year in addition to four CAA All-Rookie honorees. 

Harrison has a wealth of high-level volleyball experience as both coach and player, having helped guide the Triangle Volleyball Club in North Carolina for four years as well as having played collegiately at the University of Southern California.

A native of Terre Haute, Ind., Harrison graduated from USC in 2008 where she was a teammate of former CofC assistant coach Kimi Olson. As Trojans, the duo advanced to the NCAA Final Four.

Harrison was a Volleyball Magazine ‘Fab 50’ selection, Indiana Gatorade Player of the Year and two-time AAU All-American throughout her prep career and spent three years with the USA Girls’ Youth National Team where they won the NORCECAs and finished fourth in the World Championships.

Also bright in the classroom, Harrison earned a Juris Doctorate from Campbell Law School in May of 2012.
