
CofC Blanks UNC Greensboro, 7-0, in Men?s Tennis

The College of Charleston men's tennis team won its ninth match out of ten to start the season with an impressive 7-0 shutout of UNC Greensboro at the UNCG Tennis Courts in Greensboro, N.C. on Mar. 18.
The win improves CofC to 9-1 overall and 4-1 in the SoCon, while UNCG drops to 4-9 and 0-4 in the SoCon.
The Cougars began the day with winning two out of the three doubles matches to earn one team point. The CofC team of Justin Malina and Jimmy Petit continued their winning ways by defeating Jason Steinhorn and Taylor Befus of UNCG in the #3 doubles match to stay undefeated on the season and improve to 7-0. The team of Omer Abramovich and Perry Allen of CofC won the other doubles match for the Cougars, defeating Martin Redelinghuys and Ian Conchar by the score of 8-2.
CofC won all six of the singles matches to secure the victory. Omer Abramovich won his tenth consecutive singles match to start the season and stayed undefeated with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Conchar in the #4 singles match. #112 Or Dekel improved to 9-1 on the season in singles matches with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Andrey Bubnov of UNCG in the #1 singles match. Marcos Digliodo, Steven Myers, Malina and Allen also picked up wins in singles play.
