CofC Volleyball Falls 3-1 to Texas Arlington

College of Charleston volleyball falls to UT Arlington, 3-1 (24-30, 30-21, 24-30, 26-30) in the Hawkeye-Holiday Inn Challenge being held this weekend in Iowa City, Iowa.
Charleston falls to 5-4, while UT Arlington evens its record to 6-6 on the year.
Tiffany Blum led the Cougar offense with 19 kills, followed by Deanna Patrick with 12. Annie Uthe and Whitney Russell contributed 11 kills apiece in the effort, while Emily Sawin added 21 digs.
Torie Dacus paced the Mavs with 13 kills and 14 digs. Teena Sobczak added nine kills and 17 digs, while Gina Kalb chipped in with nine kills and six blocks. Dani Johnson led the team with 20 digs.
The Cougars return to action tonight at 7:00 p.m. as they face host Iowa at the Carver-Hawkeye Arena in the final match of the Hawkeye-Holiday Inn Challenge. Each match will be available on gametracker at www.hawkeyesports.com.
