
CofC Men?s Tennis Blanks Hampden-Sydney in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. – College of Charleston men's tennis swept Hampden-Sydney College, 7-0, on Saturday evening in Richmond.
The match was a last minute addition for the Cougars (5-3), who were originally scheduled to play Coppin State in Baltimore on Sunday. The Coppin State match has been rescheduled for 9 am on Tuesday morning.
Hampden-Sydney (1-1) competes at the NCAA Division III. The team's Thursday match against Division I opponent Longwood University was cancelled because of snow.
Junior Matt Daly and sophomore Hunter Geddes made their season debut at the No. 3 spot in doubles, defeating H-SC's Patrick Bryant and Nate Horvit 8-0.
CofC returns to action on Monday with a 2:30 pm match against Navy in Annapolis, Md. The match will mark the first time the two teams have met in more than 20 years.
