SCOUTING CAMPBELL
•The Camels enter their 47th season in program history, opening the year with a 1-1 record after falling to Old Dominion in the season opener before defeating Western Carolina 63-37 on Friday night.
• Campbell, under third-year head coach Ronny Fisher, looks to improve upon a 15-15 campaign that ended in the Big South Conference Quarterfinals.
• Of Campbell's 14 student-athletes, 11 are either sophomores or freshmen.
QUOTABLE - HEAD COACH CANDICE M. JACKSON
"We're going to get a tough, disciplined team... They [Campbell] work really hard, they're scrappy, they're very aggressive on both ends of the floor... they run a lot of different sets which makes them hard to guard, so for us we really have to pay attention to what we are doing, who we're guarding and get matched up in man or zone quickly. We've been shooting the ball pretty well the past two games and so that's gonna be important to exploit mismatches and to recognize open shots and set up and hit them... We like to use the term road warriors in the sense that we go into someone else's place and come up with a win... Find a way to get it done and that's what we have to do."
