QUOTABLE – HEAD COACH CANDICE M. JACKSON
On the season opener…
"It's really exciting… we had a great exhibition game on Saturday, the girls are excited because we scored 100 points which was really big… I think that this year our freshman have really come around, changed our culture, changed our style of play and really motivated a lot of people to get themselves together and now we really get to see who we are."
On the change of identity with the team…
"It is kind of difficult, but I like it… you have to embrace change and ride that wave, it's a good change, a really positive one… There's a serious uptake in the way that we can play and the way we can work together… Just culturally, I like everything about what has been done. The changes have been all on the good side and there's only one way to go, and that's up."
