HOW IT HAPPENED
• CofC took an early lead 44 seconds into the match when Farmer received a Freitas' pass and beat the keeper to the bottom left corner of the net.
• Elon evened the score at 1-1 just before halftime.
• The Cougars took three consecutive shots early in the second half, but each shot was saved or blocked.
• The Phoenix scored the game-winner in the 84
th minute to make it 2-1 from a converted free kick just outside of the 18-yard box.
• Junior
Leah Deutsch nearly evened the score to 2-2 in the 90
th minute but her shot landed just outside of the post.
