CHARLESTON, S.C. – Arynn Eady turned in an outstanding performance on both ends of the floor, including her second double-double of the season, in College of Charleston's 57-44 loss to William & Mary on Saturday at TD Arena.
The Cougars (4-3, 0-1 CAA) saw their three-game winning streak snapped despite Eady's 13 points, 12 rebounds, three steals and five blocks, the latter tying a career high.
Amira Williams joined her in double figures with 10 points and also matched
Tyler Gray with nine rebounds.
CofC finished with a 45-38 edge on the glass, leading to a 12-2 advantage in second chance points, and forced 17 turnovers but hurt its cause by shooting 27.3 percent from the floor compared to 42.3 percent for William & Mary.
The Tribe (6-6, 3-4) was led by Sydney Wagner with five 3-pointers and a total of 21 points and Bre Bellamy with 10 rebounds.
The Cougars trailed 25-21 at halftime before outscoring William & Mary, 17-12, in the third quarter, taking a 38-37 lead on a 3-pointer by
Madison Taylor with 1:24 left in the stanza.
Eady made it a three-point lead with a jumper in the lane in the first minute of the fourth period, but a 15-0 run by the Tribe that featured three 3s by Wagner turned the tide in favor of the visitors.

The teams will conclude their two-game CAA set on Sunday at 1 p.m. at TD Arena.
