GAME PREVIEW
The College of Charleston women's soccer team will host Elon on Senior Night and in both teams' regular-season finale on Saturday, April 3 at 6 p.m. (ET) at Ralph Lundy Field at Patriots Point in Mt. Pleasant, S.C. The game will be broadcast live on FloSports.
The Cougars (0-7-1, 0-2-1 CAA) will honor seven seniors – Meredith Holton (Irmo, S.C.), Leah Deutsch (Ashburn, Va.), Haley Mannetta (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.), Emma Kerns (Ashburn, Va.), Maddie Cybulski (Vienna, Va.), Naya Boualany (Rittman, Ohio) and Maggie Berlin (Charleston, S.C.) – prior to kick-off with the Phoenix (2-3-0, 1-1-0 CAA).
"I know my team will be excited to step on the field together again and play another tough opponent in Elon," CofC Head Coach Christian Michner said. "It's Senior Night and the final time for some of them to step out and represent the Cougars in competition. We want to honor the careers of seven amazing young women and recognize all that they've done and contributed to this program day-in and day-out for the past four years.
"I believe the rest of the team is committed to doing whatever it takes to make it a memorable evening for them as they play their final match at Patriots Point."
Holton has made 35 appearances in goal for the Cougars with 100 career saves including 27 this spring. Deutsch, a 2019 All-Colonial Athletic Association Third Team selection, has played in 62 career games with 57 starts and two career goals.
Cybulski has appeared in eight games this season with three starts, Mannetta seven games with four starts, Kerns six and Boualany five. Berlin, a back-up keeper for Charleston, has made 15 career appearances with five starts and 18 saves in goal.
