CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston wraps up a three-game homestand and plays at TD Arena for the last time this calendar year when Berry pays a visit on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
The Cougars have won three straight by an average margin of 18.0 points, including victories over Coastal Carolina and Charleston Southern to start the home stretch. Following the game against the Vikings, the Cougars are not home again until hosting CAA newcomer NC A&T on New Year's Day.
Berry has won three of the four previous meetings, but the teams have not met since Charleston joined the Division I ranks in 1989-90. The Vikings, an NCAA Division III school located in Rome, Ga., are 5-4 this season.
The Cougars feature two of the top scorers in the CAA. Jada Logan ranks second at 19.4 ppg, and Jazmyn Stone is seventh at 15.4. Charleston has the No. 2 offense in the conference with an average of 76.9 and is second in turnover margin (8.43) and steals (11.14 spg).
Logan began the homestand with a career-high 33 points against the Chanticleers, tied for the fourth most points in a game in the Division I era, and Stone tallied 32 two days later against the Buccaneers. Stone has 100 points in the past four games and is the seventh-highest scoring freshman in the nation.
Kenadie Lee and Sydney Blankenship lead Berry in scoring with 14.8 and 13.5 ppg, respectively. Lee also tops the Vikings with 25 assists, and McKenna Lentych has a team-best 6.6 rpg.
