PHILADELPHIA, PA. - The College of Charleston softball team fell to Drexel 3-0 for the final game of the CAA series Saturday afternoon. The loss marks the first shutout in conference play, but the Cougars still claim the series 2-1.
The Cougars were unable to reach base until
Sierra Paradis continued her four-game hitting streak with a leadoff single in the top of the third.
Aniz Roman hit a double to advance Paradis to third base, but CofC was unable to convert the tying run.
Malaka Belser and
Audri Bates each contributed two hits, but the Cougars could not get a run home despite having runners on third in the fourth and fifth frames.
