Charleston, S.C. – College of Charleston plays at Patriots Point for the first time in more than two weeks when the Cougars host Furman in a doubleheader Wednesday at 3 p.m.
Charleston was last at home on March 26 when it completed a three-game sweep of Hampton. The Cougars continued that momentum by taking the first two games at Drexel last weekend be-fore seeing their five-game winning streak snapped by the Dragons in the finale.
With a 7-5 record in the CAA, the Cougars have already matched their conference win total from a year ago. Sierra Paradis went 5-for-9 against Drexel, including a game-winning homer in the second game of Friday's doubleheader, and was named CAA Rookie of the Week.
The Paladins are 6-2 in the Southern Conference and boast the reigning SoCon Player of the Week in shortstop Alex Rose Molinar and Player of the Month in Riley Ludlam.
The Cougars have played 78 games against their former SoCon rival and the series is tied at 39 wins apiece. Furman took both ends of a twinbill in Greenville a year ago.
