
Charleston Travels to Presbyterian

CLINTON, S.C. – Charleston softball travels to Presbyterian for an in-state competition Wednesday, April 1.
Entering the contest, the Cougars are 16-21 on the season and 7-5 in conference play.
Bronwyn Conroy leads the Cougars with a .388 batting average. The freshman had two runs and three hits over the weekend at UNCW to total 34 runs and 45 hits on the season so far. She went 2-2 in stolen bases for 28 overall in her rookie season.
Julia Sitterding was at the center of Charleston's scoring efforts against the Seahawks beginning Friday when she scored Charleston's second run of the day after Halle Cannon doubled. Saturday, she doubled for an RBI and scored on Cannon's second RBI of the weekend. In the series finale, Sitterding scored after Leela Langston sent a sacrifice fly to right field.
Charleston's pitching staff secured seven strikeouts against the Seahawks with Ryley Kutter leading the Cougars with four.
Presbyterian is 13-21 overall on the 2026 season and 2-4 in the Big South. Most recently the Blue Hose dropped a conference series against Radford on the road.
Since 2009, Charleston is 3-3 against Presbyterian, not playing in Clinton. The Cougars have claimed two wins at home and one at a neutral site. Most recently the Cougars picked up one win and one loss in March of 2025 at home.
