Volleyball adds Lauren Fowler for 2024

CHARLESTON, S.C. - College of Charleston volleyball head coach Jason Kepner announced the addition of Lauren Fowler on Monday.
"I am excited to have Lauren join our family," said Kepner. "I have known about her for many years as she was an outstanding high school player in the state. Having the opportunity to bring her back to South Carolina was something that I could not pass up. She is a strong athlete, with a heavy arm and a high volleyball IQ. Our program is going to benefit greatly from having her in our gym."
Fowler spent the last two years at Virginia Tech. After a redshirt in 2022, the Powdersville, S.C. native appeared in four matches for the Hokies in 2023.
The outside hitter enjoyed a stellar career at Powdersville high school. A four-year letter winner, Fowler played a vital role in the Patriots capturing three straight 3A state titles from 2018-2020. In 2019, Fowler earned All-Region honors before earning numerous awards in 2020, including Region Player of the Year and 3A State Player of the Year.
