Rogers Named CAA Pitcher of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – College of Charleston graduate Kurt Rogers earned Coastal Athletic Association Co-Pitcher of the Week honors.
Rogers shared the award with Northeastern's Luc Rising.
Rogers limited Elon to two hits and no earned runs over a career-best 6.0 innings in Charleston's 11-1 victory on Saturday. The right-hander retired 16 of the first 17 batters he faced and didn't have a runner reach second base until the sixth inning. Rogers (5-3) struck out four and didn't issue a walk in his second start for the Cougars.
Charleston earned its fifth weekly honor and third different player of the week as Johnson joins freshmen Jake Amman (Player, March 2), freshman Carter Harrington (Rookie, March 9), sophomore Alex LaCoste (Player, April 6), graduate Dylan Johnson (Player, April 20) and redshirt junior Carson Bryant (Pitcher, May 4).
The Cougars conclude its eight-game road trip May 12 at Georgia Southern.
