Cougars to Play Gamecocks Oct. 16 at Segra Park

COLUMBIA, S.C. – College of Charleston baseball will play South Carolina in a fall ball exhibition for the third straight season. The Cougars and Gamecocks face off in the state capital Oct. 16 at Segra Park, home to the Kansas City Royals Single-A affiliate Columbia Fireflies. CofC will occupy the first base dugout while South Carolina will be on the first base side. First pitch is slated for 6:30 p.m. with gates opening at 5:30 p.m.
"Our players and staff are thrilled to once again be playing South Carolina this fall," said Charleston head coach Chad Holbrook. "The last two years in the Lowcountry were an incredible atmosphere and we look forward to showcasing some of the best of college baseball at Segra. A huge thank you to Fireflies President Brad Shank and Coach Schnall for allowing us to come up and compete this October. Cougar and Gamecock fans will surely make this another night to remember!"
Tickets for the game will be $15 in the seating bowl and $25 in the club section. There will be a limited number of suites available for the contest. Fans interested in purchasing a suite can call the Fireflies sales team at (803) 726-4487 and a Fireflies Account Manager will assist them.
A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales for the scrimmage will go to benefit Camp Cole, a camp and retreat center in Eastover, South Carolina that focuses on creating exceptional year-round activities for children, teens and adults who are navigating serious illnesses, disabilities and complex life challenges. Since being founded in 2021, Camp Cole has partnered with 168 people and 3,425 volunteers to provide great experiences for over 14,000 campers.
