
Baseball Earns No. 4 Seed in 2026 CAA Championship

WILMINGTON, N.C. – College of Charleston baseball is the No. 4 seed in the 2026 Coastal Athletic Association Baseball Championship, which will be hosted by UNCW in Wilmington, N.C. at Brooks Field May 20-23.
The Cougars will be making their 27th consecutive CAA Tournament appearance and will face No. 5 Hofstra in the opening round on Wednesday, May 20. First pitch is set for noon.
Charleston finished the regular season with an overall record of 28-26 and 18-12 in the CAA, going 7-0 in the last seven games against CAA opponents. Graduate Dylan Johnson leads all qualified Charleston players with a .342 average, 41 runs scored, 69 hits and 18 doubles. On the mound, redshirt senior Alex Lyon paces the pitching staff with 63.0 innings of work and a 3.43 ERA, which is good for sixth in the CAA.
