Reece Holbrook Added to Baseball Staff

MT PLEASANT, S.C. – College of Charleston baseball head coach Chad Holbrook announced Wednesday that Reece Holbrook has been hired as the Director of Player Development.
Holbrook will assist with hitting, outfield, baserunning and recruiting responsibilities, as well as coach first base.
"I am excited to add Reece to our staff," said Chad Holbrook. "His experience playing at the highest level paired with his familiarity with the program will help our players continue to grow on the field, in the classroom and in the community. Reece's work ethic and discipline are second to none and our players will benefit greatly from him. I look forward to seeing him bring his passion and love for the game of baseball to the field everyday as he begins his coaching journey!"
The younger Holbrook appeared in 55 games during the 2026 campaign for the Cougars, batting .292 with 16 doubles, 18 RBI and a team-best 21 stolen bases. Prior to joining CofC, the outfielder spent four seasons as a member of the North Carolina baseball program. During his tenure in Chapel Hill, Holbrook appeared in 71 ballgames, making 14 starts for the Tar Heels.

Holbrook graduated from The College in May with a master's degree in communications.
