Finishing his fourth season as a volunteer assistant coach with the College of Charleston is Brent Walsh.
Walsh serves as the infielders coach and assists with the hitters. He also serves as the Cougars third base coach. Walsh is active in assisting with recruiting and is also the Camp Director for the College of Charleston Baseball Camps.
Walsh started coaching as an Assistant Coach at Richland Northeast High School where the Cavaliers won two South Carolina 4A Lower State Titles, a 4A State Title and numerous Region Titles.
Before coaching at the College of Charleston, Walsh recently served as the Head Coach at Ben Lippen HS in Columbia, SC where he led the Falcons to two State Championship Series and one State Title in his 3 years as head coach. His record as a head coach is 66-21 (.758).
In the summer and fall, he has served four years as a head coach for the prestigious five-time National Champion South Carolina Diamond Devils program.
Walsh was born January 28, 1980 in Columbia, SC. He and his wife Jennifer, were married May 19th 2007 and had their first child, Gideon, in May 2012.
