2012 - Played in 41 games, starting 20 at catcher ... hit .129 with five RBI and seven runs ... hit first career home run at Furman (3/11) ... set career high with two hits and two RBI vs. Jacksonville (3/28).

Before CofC: Four-year letter winner at Rickards High School, Welke was a three-time All-State honorable mention ... Welke led Rickards to the school's first District 2-4A title in 17 years and was named the District 2-4A Player of the Year, the All-Big Ben Player of the Year and was a 2008 and 2009 First Team All-State and All-Big Ben selection ... finished high school career as a .370 hitter with 16 HR and 82 RBI ... played at Northwest Florida State Junior College in 2011 after going to Auburn and redshirting in 2010 ... hit .265 and drove in 28 runs at Northwest Florida State Junior College.
