"This a very big game for us because we were tied with Davidson for second place so this puts us clearly in second. We've both lost to Chattanooga so that keeps them No. 1. If your going to be competitive and strive to be the best in the conference, you've got to win these games on your home court and then have a fighting chance in away games".
"I'm just real pleased with the way we played. I thought it was an outstanding first half. We were just out running them and really playing good defense. In the second half they seemed to go inside more and that gave us a little bit of trouble. I felt like we played well the whole time".

"When they started fouling us, we made the freethrows we had to. Each time they made that run at us, we made the basket we needed to make to keep them from cutting it anymore than that. They did a great job to get to within that margin but I feel we were doing what we needed to to get the job done. I didn't feel it was mistakes on our part as much as they upped their game some".
On performances by Williams and Kotcella
"It was extremely important to have the performances we did today from Brooke Kotcella and Ericka Williams. Ericka started off with some good baskets that gave us a lift and Brooke picked up from there and joined in, both from the two-point and three-point range. It was a tremendous performance from both of them".
