CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston women's basketball program revealed a slew of activities for the summer, announcing camp dates running from June to July.
DAY CAMPS (June 6-10 + June 27-July 1)
Two five-day experiences have been added, which will give girls 13 and under the opportunity to work on fundamentals while receiving attention from a trained staff. The camp will feature daily drills and station for work on passing, shooting, rebounding, dribbling and defense.
TEAM CAMP (June 11-12)
Team camp is designed for high school and AAU teams, 14 and above. The goal of the session is for campers to have the opportunity to experience playing other high-level teams in one location. Each participating squad will play a minimum of five games over the two-day period.
ELITE CAMP (June 25-26)
This third and final option is aimed at serious eighth grade and high school aged girls basketball players who want to continue to learn the game and elevate it to play at the collegiate level. Campers will experience life as a women's basketball student-athlete, with a highly competitive atmosphere from start to finish. The camp staff will provide individual guard and post skill work, while Head Coach Candice M. Jackson will also give special workouts and demonstrations. Campers will play a minimum of two games each day to help implement their work in camp into their game immediately. CofC Strength and Conditioning Coach Marc Proto will be a special guest speaker.
All camps will be held at TD Arena. For those interested, full camp information is available at coachcjsbballcamp.wix.com/2016
