
The College Set To Tangle With Dukes On Pep Supper

CHARLESTON, S.C. --- The College of Charleston volleyball team will host James Madison (15-3, 6-3 CAA) on Monday evening in conjunction with Pep Supper, as the Cougars look to extend their eight-match winning streak in Colonial Athletic Association play.

Junior Bomber: Junior Kennedy Madison was nothing short of spectacular in the Cougars' sweeps of Hofstra and Northeastern this weekend, as the 6-foot right averaged 4.33 kills per set and hit a blistering .488. The effort has pushed Madison into the CAA's top 10 in hitting percentage with a .291 clip overall, and a .349 mark in league play.
Climbing the Ladder: Junior setter Allison Beckman continues to make her way toward the top of the Cougars' record books with another fine season. With 30 assists in the Cougars' sweep of Appalachian State on September 15, the 5-foot-10 setter moved into seventh in program history, and currently sits at 3,127 assists for her career.
Top-10 Stalwarts: Senior Krissy Mummey and junior libero McKala Rhodes each put in a performance of historical significance on Saturday, as the duo cracked the top-10 on the program's all-time blocks and digs lists, respectively, within minutes of each other in the Cougars' sweep of Northeastern. Mummey currently stands at 300 career blocks – nine shy of a tie for eighth – while Rhodes' total of 1,284 digs is six away from a tie for ninth.
Scouting James Madison: The Dukes enter the match with a 15-3 overall record, and sit fourth in the CAA with a 6-3 mark in league play. James Madison leads the conference in both hitting percentage (.261) and blocks per set (2.81). M'Kaela White tops the CAA in individual hitting percentage (.409) and blocks per set (1.53), while Taylor Austin ranks second in digs per frame (5.39).
