
Cougars To Conclude Road Swing At JMU Sunday

CHARLESTON, S.C. --- The College of Charleston volleyball team will wrap up its four-match road swing to open its Colonial Athletic Association schedule on Sunday afternoon in Harrisonburg, Va. against undefeated James Madison (12-0, 3-0 CAA), with first serve slated for 1:00 pm.

Climbing the Ranks: Junior setter Allison Beckman continues to make her way toward the top of the Cougars' record books with another fine season. With 30 assists in the Cougars' sweep of Appalachian State on September 15, the 5-foot-10 setter moved into seventh in program history, and currently sits at 2,850 assists for her career.
Free-Swinging Rachel: Junior Devon Rachel enjoyed another solid weekend to maintain her team-lead in kills per set, as the 6-foot outside hitter averaged 3.62 kills per set while hitting .303 in the Cougars' weekend split at Hofstra and Northeastern. She played nearly mistake-free volleyball with 29 kills and just two errors in 89 attempts. Rachel currently leads the Cougars in kills (3.69) and points (4.04) per set this season.
She Did What?!: Kennedy Madison put together a dominating performance in the Cougars' 3-1 win at UNCW on Wednesday with 18 kills and two errors and 22 swings to finish the night with an other-worldly .727 hitting percentage. The junior right side has been a steady source of offense over the last five matches, totaling 68 kills and attacking at a .413 clip over that span.
Scouting James: The Dukes enter Sunday's matchup as one of only three remaining unbeaten teams in NCAA Division I with a 12-0 overall record, and a 3-0 mark in CAA play. James Madison battled to a 3-1 victory over UNCW on Friday evening. Bryn Recker leads the offense with an average of 3.31 kills per set, while M'Kaela White paces the CAA with a .414 hitting percentage and an average of 1.36 blocks per frame.
