CHARLESTON, S.C. --- The College of Charleston baseball team will resume its home schedule this weekend with a three-game series against Furman. First pitch on Friday is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. with junior Griffin McLarty (Buckner, Ky.) taking the ball opposite Furman sophomore lefty Matt Lazzaro.
Weekend Preview
The Cougars and Paladins meet for the 63rd time on Friday, with CofC carrying a 10-6 record and Furman entering the weekend at 5-9. This weekend's three-game set is the first such series between the Cougars and Paladins since 2015.
Scouting Furman
Furman enters the weekend with a 5-9 record following a 7-4 win over USC Upstate on Wednesday. The Paladins come into the series batting .250 as a team with 13 home runs and 23 doubles.
John Michael Boswell and Logan Taplett lead the Paladins with three home runs and 10 RBI each, while Boswell paces the team with a .358 batting average.
