CHARLESTON, S.C. -- The College of Charleston women's basketball team looks to keep rolling on Friday against Pfeiffer following an 80-48 blowout win at Wofford to open the season. The game will tip-off at 11 a.m. and be broadcast on FloSports.

- The 80-48 win at Wofford was the largest margin of victory for the Cougars in a season opener since CofC beat North Greenville 95-62 on Nov. 7, 2018
- The 32 point margin of victory also tied the program record for the largest margin of victory for Charleston in a road game
- Charleston led for 38:37 of game time and outscored Wofford 21-4 in the fourth quarter
- Charleston's style of full-court pressure defense was on full display on Tuesday night in Spartanburg. The Cougars held the Terriers to 27.5 percent shooting from the floor and 18.2 percent from deep. CofC also forced 17 turnovers
- CofC's two transfers, Jenna Annecchiarico and Peyton Martin proved their worth in game one. Annecchiarico led the way with 27 points while also totaling six steals, six assists, and five rebounds. Martin grabbed 13 rebounds, scored six points, and recorded three steals
- Charleston's three returning seniors in the starting lineup - Tyler Colllins, Latrice Perkins, and Arynn Eady - also contributed greatly to the win. Collins and Perkins combined for 36 points while Eady notched four rebounds and a block
- Grace Abercrombie, the lone freshman to see playing time against Wofford, scored five points in her nine minutes of action
- The Falcons are a member of the USA South Conference and compete in NCAA Division-III
- Pfeiffer is off to a 1-0 start after a 76-67 victory over Hollins
- This is the first time the Cougars and Falcons have met on the hardwood
- The Cougars will be back in action on Friday, Nov. 19 as Charleston hits the road again to face Norfolk State. The game will tip-off at 6:00 p.m.
