Charleston Men's Tennis to Honor Four Seniors on Wednesday

CHARLESTON, S.C. -- The College of Charleston men's tennis team (8-8, 1-2) will honor its four seniors as it rounds out the regular season slate on Wednesday, April 13. The Cougars will host The Citadel at 4:00 p.m.
The four seniors set to play their final match at the CofC Tennis Center are Robby Krick, Ben Husum, Andre Limon, and Johnny Wang.
Robby Krick - Ashland, Ky.
Krick is a four-year contributor to the CofC men's tennis program. This season, Robby has manned the No.2 position in singles while teaming up with Zac Larke to hold down the No.1 doubles spot. In singles, Krick has four wins this season and owns a 7-7 record in doubles competition.
Krick burst onto the scene with an impressive freshman campaign. He posted an eye-popping 14-3 record in doubles, including finishing 7-1 in CofC's last 10 matches. In a 2019-20 season cut extremely short due to COVID-19, Krick won the only singles match he finished. As a junior, Robby posted a 10-4 doubles record alongside partner Ben Husum. In singles, Krick went 6-7 over the course of his third season at The College.
Andre Limon - Mexico City, Mexico
Limon has been fantastic throughout his years in a Cougars uniform. This year, the Mexico City native is tied with fellow senior Johnny Wang for te team's top singles record at 11-4. In Andre's last 10 matches, he is 8-2. In doubles, Limon is 5-6 overall, but is 4-2 alongisde Brolin Dorsey.
As a freshman, Limon was a solid 9-5 in his debut collegiate season. After opening his freshman campaign with two straight losses, Andre won six matches in a row, including a stretch where he won nine of 10. He also went 3-0 in doubles matches as a rookie. In his junior year, Limon posted a 5-3 mark in singles and a 1-1 record in doubles.
Ben Husum - Aarhus, Denmark
Husum has enjoyed lots of success as a Charleston Cougars, most notable in doubles. During the 2021 season, Husum led the team with a doubles record of 10-4. That record including a stretch of eight consecutive doubles wins.
In his freshman season, Ben did not take a loss in the five matches in which he played. Husum won both singles matches he played - one as the No. 5 and one as the No. 6 - as well as posting a 3-0 mark in the No. 3 flight in doubles, each with a different partner. This season, Husum is 2-0 in singles and 1-2 in doubles. Husum and Borges were leading 5-4 vs. North Florida when the match was called.
Johnny Wang - Chinese Taipei
Wang proved himself in just his first season at the College of Charleston. In his freshman year, Johnny posted the second-best singles record on the team at 16-7. Wang combined that with a 14-3 doubles record after winning seven of his last eight doubles contests. Wang and duoubles partner Benedikt Henning peaked at 36th in the national doubles rankings.
In the shortened 2019-20 season, Wang went 1-1 in singles play and 2-0 in doubles. Last season, as a junior, Johnny tallied a 6-4 singles record and a 2-2 doubles mark. This season, Wang is tied with Andre Limon for the team's best singles record at 11-4. In doubles, Wang has played alongside a few different partners, but sits at 4-5 overall with the bulk of those matches being played in the No. 3 flight.
