CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston baseball returns home for a weekend series with Towson seeking a third CAA series win in as many tries. Charleston took both of their first two CAA series in 2-1 fashion taking the Friday and Saturday contests from William & Mary and Stony Brook.
Towson enters the weekend 1-5 in league play picking up a win in the middle game of a series at North Carolina A&T then falling via sweep to UNCW last weekend. The Tigers make their second trip south in CAA play after opening at newcomer North Carolina A&T March 10 and 11 in Greensboro.
Charleston plays their fifth home series of the season and enter with an 11-4 record at Patriots Point with series wins over UMBC, Longwood and Stony Brook already while taking both matchups with Michigan State and a single game versus Air Force.

Baseball Bingo Saturday: This Saturday and at every Saturday this season, fans are invited to play Baseball Bingo. Cards will be available and fans can mark off events as they happen. Prizes will be given for the first fans to win in single and full card bingo.
Hawaiian Shirt Sundays: Fans are encouraged to wear Hawaiian shirts and gear to every Sunday game this season. CLICK HERE for Hawaiian themed Charleston Baseball t-shirts and hoodies. As part of Hawaiian Shirt Sundays, the concession stand will have mimosas available for each Sunday game. Parking: Due to overlap with baseball, softball and a home Charleston Battery game, parking will be limited Saturday. Parking will still be free, but fans are encouraged to arrive early to Patriots Point for baseball and softball and could expect traffic delays leaving the area postgame.

Scouting the Tigers
- Towson enters the weekend having dropped four of their last five including their weekend series at home to UNCW then falling in a midweek game at Duke. The Tigers swept Marist in a two-game midweek series last week outslugging the Red Foxes 9-8 and 12-4.
- Casey Bishop enters the weekend among the top-20 in the CAA in batting average (.346) and 9th in hits (28). Bryce Frederick has six doubles and 21 RBI – both among the top-10 in the CAA.
- Nate Nabholz leads the Tiger pitching staff with 21 innings of work and a 3.43 ERA across seven appearances. Brett Seils and Shayne Clowar lead the team in starts with Sails posting a 7.00 ERA and Clowar holding an 8.74 ERA.

Series History
- Charleston owns the head-to-head 21-5 all-time including a 13-0 mark at home sweeping four series and taking the initial midweek matchup back in 2005. The Cougars also won the first 10 meetings in series history.
- Charleston has won six of the eight weekend series and the lone postseason CAA matchup during the 2021 season. In their last 10 meetings, the Cougars hold a 7-3 advantage winning all three contests at Patriots Point in 2019.
- The 21-5 series lead (.808) is Charleston's highest win percentage against a current CAA member with more than 20 matchups in series history. The 21 wins are also the third-most against a single CAA opponent behind only Elon (40) and William & Mary (25).
