Women's Soccer Faces Wofford

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston women's soccer team will remain on the road to face Wofford in Spartanburg on Thursday, August 29 at 6:00 p.m.
The Cougars traveled to Columbia on Sunday, where they fell to the Gamecocks 4-1. Faith Slimmer found the lone goal for Charleston in the first half, finishing a cross from Emma Wennar. This was the Cougars' first loss of the season, and their record now stands at 3-1.
Wofford currently sits 1-2 on the season, most recently falling to Appalachian State on Thursday 5-0.
The Cougars hold a 14-5 record over the Terriers, winning the last seven consecutive games against the in-state opponent.
With a win on Thursday versus Wofford, the Cougars would advance to 4-1 on the season, while head coach Christian Michner would reach his 100th career win.
