CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston women's soccer team hosts Hofstra Sunday, October 19 at Patriots Point for the final home game of the 2025 regular season. Kickoff is slated for 1:00 p.m.

Following Thursday's loss to Stony Brook, Charleston is 7-6-2 overall and 3-3-1 in CAA play. With two regular season games remaining, Charleston sits in third in the CAA South division ahead of Campbell, Elon, and Hampton.

Goalkeeper Ainsley Chunn made four saves vs the Seawolves, including one shot in the first half barreling towards the right upper 90. Charleston outshot the Seawolves 21 to ten taking seven shots on goal. Emma Wennar had a game high four shots but could not connect.

Three Cougars have five goals with Bella Antonio leading the team in points with 14. Avery Nassetta follows with five goals and one assist for 11 points.

Wennar leads the CAA in shots taken in conference play with 29. She has taken 59 shots in both non-conference and conference games for the 2025 season. The senior has four goals on the season.
Charleston leads the conference in shots taken with 276 and in corners taken with 100.

Hofstra's overall record this season is 5-3-7 with a 2-2-3 conference record. The Pride have only won one game on the road this season against Columbia in August. Most recently, Hofstra fell 2-0 to UNCW on the road. The Pride have defeated Drexel and Northeastern in the CAA.

The College's record against Hofstra is 1-10-1 dating back to 1998. In 2024, Charleston traveled to the Pride to fall 2-1. The Cougar's lone win comes from a 2016 home match when Charleston defeated Hofstra 1-0. In 2023, the teams ended the September match in a scoreless draw.
