MT PLEASANT, S.C. – College of Charleston baseball hosts The Citadel in the second of three midweek matchups between the two programs on Wednesday, April 16 at Patriots Point. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. with the game airing live on FloCollege.

FIRST PITCH:
- Charleston earned the series win against Delaware, earning wins on Friday and Saturday by scores of 12-0 (7 inn.) and 9-3.
- Junior Jake Brink tossed a complete game shutout on Friday, allowing just two hits and two walks while striking out a career-high nine Blue Hens.
- Brink has tossed back-to-back complete games, the first CofC pitcher to achieve the mark since Bailey Ober in 2016.
- Brink is also the first Cougar to hurl a complete game shutout since Evan Sisk in 2018.
- Brink was tabbed the CAA Pitcher of the Week, becoming the fifth Cougar to earn a weekly conference award this year.
- Senior Dariyan Pendergrass stole his 27th base of the season Friday, one shy of entering the single season top 10 in program history. Pendergrass enters the midweek seventh in the nation in swiped bags.
- Redshirt junior Daniel Brooks tossed seven innings on Saturday, the second straight start tossing 7.0 frames. Brooks fanned seven batters while allowing just one run on three hits in the victory.
SERIES HISTORY:
- Charleston is 60-43 against The Citadel in series history. The 103 contests are the most against a single opponent in program history. CofC has won 22 of the last 24 meetings dating back to 2014 and have scored 10-plus runs in 10 of the matchups.
- The Bulldogs took the first game of the series, 4-2, on March 25, at Joe Riley Park.
UP NEXT:
- CofC travels to Boston for a three-game series against CAA foe Northeastern April 18-20. First pitches are slated for 3 p.m. on Friday and 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
