Charleston Heads North to Boston

BROOKLINE, MASS. – College of Charleston baseball travels to Boston to take on Northeastern in a key CAA series April 18-20. First pitch Friday against the first place Huskies is set for 2:30 p.m. while Saturday begins at 1 p.m. and Sunday starts at noon. All three contests will air live on FloCollege while Friday and Saturday's matchups will be streamed on NESN+.

FIRST PITCH:

Charleston earned a 5-2 win over The Citadel in its midweek contest Wednesday.
Senior Dylan Johnson went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and RBI in the victory.
Johnson has five multi-hit performances over the last 10 ballgames.
Sophomore Hayden Thomas tossed 4.1 scoreless frames out of the bullpen, tying his career strikeout mark with five punchouts.
Redshirt junior Alex Lyon improved to 6-1 on the season after 2.1 innings without giving up a run.
Lyon appeared in his 67th career contest out of the bullpen, tying him with Justin Baker (2016-18) for fifth all-time in program history.
Senior Davis Aiken picked up his seventh save of the campaign and 18th career stop, taking over sole possession of sixth all-time in career saves.

SERIES HISTORY:

Charleston is 15-18 all-time against Northeastern. The Cougars took the final two games of the series in 2024 at home, beating the Huskies by scores of 18-5 and 6-3.

Charleston hosts Coastal Carolina at Patriots Point for a midweek tilt on Tuesday, April 22. First pitch from Patriots Point is slated for 6 p.m. with the game airing live on FloCollege.
