
Conroy Named to D1 Softball Freshman All-America Second Team

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Bronwyn Conroy has been named to the D1Softball Freshman All-American Second Team Thursday, May 28.
The freshman has already been named to the NFCA DI South All-Region Third Team, NFCA DI National Freshman of the Year Top 25 List and CAA All-Tournament Team. Conroy was named CAA Rookie of the Week three times this season, including back-to-back honors in the first two weekends of play.
Conroy ended her freshman season with a team high .382 batting average and played in all 60 games. She broke the program record for stolen bases in a single season (44), scored 55 runs and leads the Cougars with 76 hits.
She helped lead the Cougars to their first ever CAA Championship title, scoring the tying run in the second round of the tournament by stealing home. She had five hits in the tournament and went 6-6 in stolen bases in the postseason.
