Welke led Rickards to the school's first District 2-4A title in 17 years and was named the District 2-4A Player of the Year, the All-Big Ben Player of the Year and was a 2008 and 2009 First Team All-State and All-Big Ben selection ... finished high school career as a .370 hitter with 16 HR and 82 RBI ... played at Northwest Florida State Junior College in 2011 after going to Auburn and redshirting in 2010 ... hit .265 and drove in 28 runs at Northwest Florida State Junior College.
