CofC Extends Conference Road Streak To 21

The College of Charleston volleyball squad improved its Southern Conference road match win streak to 21 as the Cougars defeated Georgia Southern 3-1 (30-20, 30-22, 22-30, 30-25) in Statesboro, Ga., on Wednesday night.
Sarah Voss had a match-high 17 kills, hitting a .419 clip to pace Charleston's offensive attack, followed by Deanna Patrick's 16 kills. Voss added nine digs, and Patrick had two.
Annie Uthe hit a match-high .419 for Charleston (19-7, 13-1 SoCon) and tallied 11 kills, along with six assists and five digs. Tiffany Blum also recorded 11 kills, followed by Emily Sawin with 10. Sawin added 13 digs for her tenth double-double of the season.
Lindsey Kane also had a double-double as she dished out 50 assists and came up with 15 digs to anchor the Cougars' defense. Marie Dobrenz, who had five service aces, also had 15 digs, followed by Alexis Lowes with 13.
Christy Dowd led the Georgia Southern (11-11, 5-9 SoCon) offense, posting 13 kills and recording 11 digs.
Charleston held the Eagles to a .203 hitting percentage, while the Cougars hit a .261 clip.
The Cougars will host Chattanooga at 2 p.m. on Nov. 4 for Senior Day festivities, wrapping up their home schedule with a 2 p.m. match on Nov. 5 with Western Carolina.
