Men?s Tennis Makes it Three Straight Against Spartanburg Methodist

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The College of Charleston men's tennis team claimed a third consecutive road victory in two days on Sunday afternoon, dispatching of Spartanburg Methodist, 7-0.
The Cougars (3-1), have now won three on the trot since losing to No. 24-ranked Clemson in their season opener. In their last two outings against Limestone and Spartanburg Methodist, the Cougars have not lost a set, winning by a combined score of 16-0.
The College played well from the get-go taking all three doubles matches where the No. 2 doubles pairing of Zack Lewis (Richmond, Ky.) and Matt Daly (Raleigh, N.C.) and the No. 3 duo of Hunter Geddes and Josh Record (Tallahassee, Fla.) both registered 8-0 victories. On court one, Stephen Hardy (Fairfax, Va.)) and Crescente Lesser (Santiago, Chile) beat Southern Methodist's Harry Reed and Zac Dye, 8-3.
Carrying their momentum in to singles play, the Cougars continued to roll with Record, Daly and Hardy all dismissing their opponents, 6-0, 6-0.
Next up for the College is Sunday, Feb. 9, road clash with Winthrop in Rock Hill, S.C., with doubles play set to begin at 2:30 p.m.
